first things first, I’m larissa.

My friends call me Larry. It’s a nickname I’ve learned to accept.

I’m a child of the Chinese diaspora, born and bred on the edges of Los Angeles, among other diasporic cultures, creating a wonderful mixture of other cultures, cuisines, and ideas that makes Los Angeles unique, Taiwainese, Filipinx, Latinx, Korean, Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese.

I’m insanely passionate about the food of Los Angeles and Orange Counties.

I pride myself on being a generalist. Many have told me I need to “pick a lane.” I chose to carve my own path instead.
